The LifeLine Institute
Edmund Tucker from the Year 11 Programme says “They give us a quality education like kids in the mainstream school, and teach us how to respect each other, from any background. It has changed the way I look at people – basically it has changed my personality and behaviour. The LifeLine environment is very friendly and good.” The initial assessment of Edmund’s ability in Literacy and Numeracy at the beginning of year 11 was a low E3 standard. Edmund took his Level 1 exams and when he returned to get his results was delighted to find that he had passed. The LifeLine Institute caters for children who cannot gain places in mainstream school for reasons of exclusion, or lack of availability. A holistic approach is taken in order that students can be re-integrated back into mainstream school.
